Renal transplant

This is an example of renal transplant scar - a J-shaped scar at the lower anterior abdomen. Important in Station 1 - abdomen. Must look hard for a mass beneath the scar and ballotable kidneys, in case the aetiology of ESRD is ADPKD.

MRCP (UK) is short for Membership of the Royal Colleges of Physicians (United Kingdom). It is an option for doctors in Malaysia to pursue their postgraduate studies, other than Masters in Internal Medicine. It serves an entry examination for further subspecialty training. In order to face this, one has got to be independent as there is no special class/lectures to guide through. It has 3 parts: Part 1 and 2 are written papers. PACES is short for Practical Assessment of Clinical Examination Skill. RCP constantly makes changes maintain their standard. Since 2009, PACES and Part 2 (written) can be taken in any order. Other major changes were made during the third diet in 2009- marking system and huge change to Station 5. As I go on, I will provide more details on the changes.. I was one of those who had gone through the new PACES (nPACES) and hope it will be helpful!
